How to fix Microsoft Teams crashing when sharing screen.
If you experience application crashes while sharing your desktop in Teams, ranging from 10 seconds to 2 minutes into your meeting, don’t worry! There’s a simple solution to this issue. It might be due to HDR (High Dynamic Range) being enabled in your system’s display settings.
To resolve this problem and ensure smooth screen sharing in Teams, follow these steps:
1. Open your systems display settings. Right click anywhere on your desktop and select display settings.
2. Click HDR.
3. Scroll down and make the slidder next to HDR Video Streaming is in the off position.
4. Restart Microsoft Teams. By going down to your system tray and right clicking the Teams icon and select quit.
5. You can now launch the Teams app again.
Once you’ve made these settings change, you should be able to share your screen without any crashes. Happy collaborating!
